Gratitude

June 2025 Headteacher Thank you:

There are always so many messages of thanks to give – especially in a small school like ours. Forgive me if I haven’t captured them all here or managed to catch you in person on the day that you came to help. My gratitude is no less heartfelt.

PTA camp night – Thank you to Mr Brown and Mr King for their BBQ prowess, to Mrs Wilson, Mrs U Jones and Mrs McGoldrick for their hard work, Mr & Mrs Saw for the meat and a big shout out to Ms Woodward, Mrs Taylor and Mrs King for all that they did to make the weekend such a success.

Wind in the Willows – thank you to the parents who helped erect the stage and to those who are helping with hair and make up or serving drinking before each performance, and for everyone helping children learn the lines and songs.

Thank you to the parents who supported the Year 5 cycling, the Year 3-6 swimming gala and the transportation of children to the Science/Maths events. Thank you to Mrs A Jones, Mrs U Jones and Mrs Fincham for all the film night help and more.

Thank you to Mr Garrett for building our new EYFS sheds. Thank you to Mrs Parker and Mrs Payne for the Friday treats and to all of those who have generously donated time, money or produce.

Patronal Festival in Aston Rowant. Thank you again to the stalwarts Mrs King and Mrs Wilson who set up with Mrs Gregory and to Mrs Wodzinski and Mrs Godfrey who helped to serve and also to Ms Raisen for providing the scones.

March 2025 Magic Moment

A local walker knocked on the office door. Whilst he was out walking the previous week, two of our pupils stopped and chatted to him about our school, our various enrichment weeks and all about World Book Day. He is a retired teacher and was so impressed by the attitude of the children and their enthusiasm for what we are learning and doing in school that he made a point of coming back to tell us in person and to donate some books to the school.
